• Dodoma is the capital city of Tanzania.
• In 2019, the Tanzanian economy grew by 5.8% reaching a GDP of USD 55.5 billion, making it the 2nd largest economy in East Africa after Kenya and the 7th largest in Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Travel and tourism contibuted 17.5 per cent of Tanzania’s gross domestic product in 2016 and employement  11.0 per cent of the county’s labour force ( 1.189.300 jobs)
• According to the 2012 census, the total population was 44,928,923. The under-15 age group represented 44.1 per cent of the population. Approximately 70 per cent of the population is rural, although this percentage has been declining since at least 1967. Dar es Salaam (population 4,364,541)  is the largest city and commercial capital.
